The ONE Stockport Academy is setting up a new free training programme for people over 19 years old who are unemployed to gain skills for work in the health and care sector.
The 6-week programme will begin on Monday, 6 February, 2023 and aims to help people gain the skills, knowledge, and experience to start working in Health and Social Care in Stockport.
There are a range of jobs for people with no previous experience or qualifications; jobs include: Administrators, Health Care Assistants, Laundry Assistants and Receptionists. Many jobs are within walking distance of Brinnington, there are a range of hours available, competitive rates of pay and benefits will not be affected.
The ONE Stockport Academy are holding two Open Days and will have a stall at Brinnington Jobs Fair where people can come and meet some of our local employers, see the range of opportunities available and talk to local people about their experience of working in Health and Social Care. There will be the opportunity to sign up for the free health and care training programme which includes college sessions at First House, placements with a local employer and a guaranteed interview for a permanent role.
