The November Climate Action Business Forum will take place from 8am to 10am on 24th November, giving Stockport organisations the chance to learn more about how they can reduce their environmental impact.
The forum, held both online and in person at Cornerstone, aims to help support Stockport-based businesses on their journey to achieving net zero. It aims to take businesses beyond the initial stage of understanding climate change, towards actively addressing and implementing change within their organisations.
In this month’s session, attendees will hear sustainability stories from two local businesses, insurtech CDL and packaging company Red Rose, as well as information on Greater Manchester’s Here for Business and Business Green Scene programmes.
The Climate Action Now team will also be running a Climate Risk Assessment workshop that will help businesses identify how climate change will affect how they run, and what actions they can take to mitigate the risk.
The forum is open to all businesses, and sectors, creating an opportunity for those that are interested in making a difference to share best practice and access support from peers, Stockport Council and other dedicated support organisations.
To book your ticket to attend either online or in-person, visit the Climate Action Business Forum Eventbrite page.
The Forum, which meets quarterly, also has a LinkedIn Group to allow attendees to continue their discussions outside the events and share best practices and ideas with the Stockport business community.
