Members of the public are being invited to show their appreciation for the borough’s healthcare workers and nominate Stockport NHS staff or volunteers for a Making A Difference Every Day award.
The annual awards give residents the opportunity to thank members of the Stockport NHS for the hard work, dedication or amazing care that they have experienced.
An awards ceremony will be held later in the year to announce and celebrate the winners. Winners will receive a certificate and trophy honouring their achievements.
Last year’s ceremony was held at Stockport Town Hall, and hosted by radio presenter Andy Crane.
The awards have already been accepting nominations from peers, colleagues and managers, but now members of the public can join in as well to make their appreciation known.
Karen James OBE, Stockport NHS Foundation Trust Chief Executive said:
“The Making A Difference Awards are a great opportunity for us to celebrate some of the outstanding care and support which our colleagues provide, and this is a chance for the public to have their say in thanking those who they feel deserve it. If you want to let someone in Stockport NHS know they are appreciated, whether it’s at Stepping Hill Hospital or in the community, then please make your nomination today.”
Nominations can be made online by completing a short form on the trust’s website before Friday 28th June 2024.
