Local: NK Theatre Launch Red Carpet Event

Stockport based NK Theatre Arts are hosting a glitz and glamour Hollywood themed Red Carpet Fundraising Event.

Held at the Romiley Forum on April 27th from 7.30pm, the evening will feature a canopés and fizz reception followed by a 3 course buffet, grand auction and live entertainment.

Jackie Dootson who is manager of fundraising at NK Theatre said:

“We are fundraising for new sprung flooring for the dancers. Our dance troops have increased since our success last year at the Teenstar competition. However, the flooring they have to practice on is too hard for young knees and we don’t want to cause them any injuries so this is our next project.

“We have already got funding for the new seating through grants and the proceeds from Sir Ian Mckellen’s one man show in May, completely sold out in under  24 hours!

“We hope to be able to install the new floor in August which will make such a big difference for the kids.”
