NK Theatre Arts is proud to announce its commitment to two exhilarating youth performances this Summer, taking place at the New Mills Art Theatre.
Audiences can witness Stockport’s young talent shine in performances of Disney’s enchanting “Moana Junior”, and the vibrant energy of “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Teen Edition).
NK Theatre Arts, renowned for its exceptional contributions to the performing arts community, is based at The Forum Theatre in Romiley. Despite facing challenges earlier last year when the venue temporarily closed due to RAAC, the organisation swiftly pivoted its operations to ensure minimal disruption for its members.
In the wake of the closure, NK Theatre Arts sought alternative spaces to keep the show going: tutors went above and beyond, transforming nearby schools and churches into vibrant rehearsal studios. This dedication to their craft and their community has kept the spirit of theatre alive and the workshops thriving.
With the reopening date of The Forum Theatre still uncertain, NK Theatre Arts made a pivotal decision this week: their upcoming summer productions, the enchanting Moana Junior (May 3rd to 5th) and the foot-stomping Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Teen Edition) (July 20th to 22nd), will take centre stage at the New Mills Art Theatre.
Hannah Gorst, Head of Musical Theatre & Dance, explained,
“While we eagerly await The Forum’s return, our focus remains on delivering outstanding performances and nurturing the talent within our community. New Mills Art Theatre provides the perfect platform for our young members to shine, and we can’t wait to share the magic with audiences.”
Also taking place at New Mills Art Theatre will be the brilliant musical Rock of Ages, delivered by the company’s adult performers, running from 10th to 13th April.
Tickets are now on sale for all three performances via the Forum Theatre website or by calling the Box Office on 0333 666 3366.
