As the next stage of the Marple Hub project gets underway, the existing NHS-run Marple Clinic will move to a new temporary unit in the New Year.
The clinic, which provides NHS services to the Marple community, will be relocated as part of the wider Marple Hub development, which is being supported by a £20 million grant from the Capital Levelling Up Fund.
During the next phase of the build, the current Marple Clinic will close, and its healthcare services will be provided in a purpose-built temporary unit in the Brabyns Brow Upper Middlers car park, behind the Purple Pakora.
To allow for the new unit to be installed, Stockport Council will need to close Brabyns Brow (Upper) Middlers car park on the following dates:
- Friday (evening) 17th October to Sunday (evening) 19th October 2025
- Friday (evening) 23rd October to Sunday (evening) 26th October 2025
- Friday (evening) 7th November to Saturday (evening) 8th November 2025
Once the Marple Community Hub is complete, the clinic will then operate from within the new Hub. The space will also house a library, swimming pool, café, and a modern fitness suite, consolidating health and community services in one location.
The Hub is set to open in Autumn 2026.
