Demolition work has begun at Stockport College’s student-run training restaurant – which is to be completely rebuilt over the summer – and replaced with ‘Elevations’, a new £1.2M training facility situated on the second floor of the former Student Union building.
The aim is to modernise the College and ensure students on work-related courses are training in the most realistic state-of-the-art conditions.
This September the College Restaurant will
officially open its doors to a formal, fully
licensed, dining environment serving lunch
and dinner. The contemporary design,
encompassing the latest trends, materials
and decor in a luxury restaurant environment,
combines with a range of exciting seasonal
menus at lunch and dinner to offer guests an
outstanding dining experience.
By linking up with key stakeholders such as
Bookers food wholesalers and the Radisson
Hotel the College have forged a strong
partnership giving students bespoke
opportunities into the industry.
All food is freshly prepared from the best
ingredients by students under the direction of
our highly qualified and experienced lecturing
team.
The Hospitality Department is also looking to offer an array of alternative part time courses, including; Chinese cookery, French cookery, Wine Appreciation, Baking & Toying with Chocolate.
The Restaurant is available for luncheons, dinners and private functions as well as conferences meetings and events.
