The latest recruits to join Greater Manchester Police have spoken about what they want to bring to help make communities safer.
Officers took part in a ceremony, called an attestation, to swear in new officers and provide them with their warrant cards so they can go on the streets.
Among the group was PC Jack Rotheram who said there needed to be the right number of officers on the streets so that it was reassuring but not worrying for local people and PC Daisy Edwards who said supporting victims was the priority.
The views of the new officers can be seen at the GMP website
As part of MyGMP the force is asking people to explain how they will judge whether the officers are making a difference on the streets and are tackling crime and antisocial behaviour.
The social consultation is also finding community reporters who want to spend time with local neighbourhood teams and then blog, tweet, or post their views.
