The Mayor-Elect of Stockport, Councillor Kevin Hogg, will be appointed as the new Mayor of Stockport at today’s 2014/15 Annual Council Meeting, Tuesday 10th June.
Councillor Hogg has represented the Hazel Grove Ward on the Council since 1990. The Mayoress-Elect is Mrs Kathleen Hogg, Councillor Hogg’s wife.
The Deputy Mayor-Elect is Councillor Linda Holt and her Consort is Mr Ken Holt.
The Annual Council Meeting also agrees the membership of the Executive, Scrutiny and Ordinary Committees, as well as Working Parties, and representatives from Stockport Council on outside bodies.
The meeting takes place in the Council Chamber in Stockport Town Hall on 10th June at 2.30pm.
As part of a drive to make democracy more transparent and open, this will be broadcast live on the internet. The webcast will be available by logging onto the Council website www.stockport.gov.uk and can be viewed live or at a later date via the archive on the Council website.
