A new business support programme has launched in Greater Manchester to help develop the potential of the city-region’s creative industries.
The Create Growth programme, backed by the Department for Digital Culture Media and Sport (DCMS), The Growth Company and Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), will offer a two-day cohort programme peer-learning opportunity with masterclasses, coaching sessions and 1-1 mentoring, delivered by the GC Business Growth Hub.
The programme has been designed to improve the leadership of creative scale-ups so that they are better placed to become investment ready.
Greater Manchester is already one of the country’s leading creative hubs, and the city-region contributes an estimated gross value added (GVA) revenue impact of £1.4 billion to the UK economy from culture and creative industries. The Create Growth Programme is fully funded by the DCMS and has been created to further develop what is already a thriving industry, helping creative organisations based in the Greater Manchester region attract investment to grow their business.
Create Growth is open to businesses across Greater Manchester in creative industries including:
- Film, tv, video and radio
- Performing arts, music, and visual art
- Publishing
- Art and design
- Advertising and Marketing
- Architecture
- Crafts design and designer fashion
- Gaming
- Museums, galleries and libraries
- Photography
Further information about the programme and details of how to apply for the fully-funded support can be found via the Business Growth Hub website.
