Stockport law firm SAS Daniels LLP has been placed alongside the North West’s largest city centre firms after boosting its rankings in nationwide guide Chambers UK 2013.
SAS Daniels, which also has offices in Chester, Congleton and Macclesfield, is the only firm based outside Manchester city centre to be ranked for employment law (Band 4), and has been placed above some of the major city centre firms for its real estate team (Band 4), noted as “excellent and progressive” in the directory.
The firm has also been ranked in Band 2 for its private client offering which was noted for being one “that certainly has a personal touch” and Band 3 for the family and matrimonial team.
In addition to the overall firm rankings in the guide, which is based on independent client feedback, two of SAS Daniels’ Stockport lawyers have been acclaimed as leaders in their fields of expertise.
Peter Moore is a contentious partnership specialist who is ranked in Band 2 of the directory and comes highly recommended; while Jonathan Whittaker from the employment team has been ranked in Band 3 and was noted for carrying a weighty profile in Manchester, with sources highlighting his “creative” yet “pragmatic” approach.
Jonathan and Peter have been joined by their Macclesfield-based colleague Lawrence Tudin as a leader in his field in the 2013 directory after being recognised for his court of protection work. He acts for older and vulnerable clients as deputy and attorney and was characterised by a source in the directory as “absolutely outstanding; he works with sensitivity.”
In the second of the two independent client guides to the UK legal profession, The Legal 500, the firm has been boosted to tier two for its corporate and commercial work, and tier three in commercial property.
Commenting on the rankings chief executive of
SAS Daniels LLP Nigel Haddon said:
“We have worked hard and invested significantly in each
of the firm’s practice areas over the past year. Our aim
has been to provide clients with the quality associated
with city centre law firms but with a level of service which
provides real value for money, so to be positioned
amongst some of the biggest names in the region is a
great reflection of what we have been trying to achieve
and where we currently stand in the market.
“People are beginning to appreciate and make use of the
quality which exists outside the central hubs in the region
and we will continue to focus our growth plans on
secondary towns to reflect what our clients want.
These results prove that we are continuing to deliver
what we said we would and achieve outstanding results
for our clients.”
