National accountancy group, Azets, has revealed it plans to create 100 news jobs across its six offices in the North-west, including in Stockport.
The new jobs will be spread across Azets, part of the Cogital group of companies, six locations: Bolton, Lancaster, Manchester, Preston, Rossendale and in Stockport. Azets, which rebranded from Baldwins in autumn 2020, has had a presence in Stockport since 2019 after its acquisition of Booth Ainsworth.
The roles, to be recruited for over the next 12 months, form part of the firm’s strategy to double its revenues in the region over the next five years, with the new jobs being created from associate to partner level and across all specialties. In response to changes in ways of working brought about by the pandemic, the firm is also planning to invest into its offices and infrastructure to make them more suited to a hybrid model of office and remote working.
David Travis, regional managing partner of Azets in the North West, said:
The workspace is changing rapidly and forever, as is the support needed by our clients.
“That’s why we’re investing in a hybrid working model and encouraging our people to work from anywhere. Digitisation is key to our investment strategy as clients want top quality advice and rapid access to information at any given time, and staff want the flexibility and freedom to integrate work with their other commitments.”
The jobs in the North-west come as part of a wider national recruiting drive for the accountancy group, which will expand its 6,500 strong workforce by 650 in the coming months across all regions of the UK. 250 new jobs have been announced to be being created in the firm’s Scottish offices, and a further 100 in the North-east.
