Mr Scrooge Seasonal Ale Takes Centre Stage for Christmas

Mr Scrooge, Robinsons seasonal ale, is returning just in time to warm the Christmas spirit!

Robinsons Brewery, situated in the heart of Stockport for 180 years, have unveiled their festive seasonal ale: Mr Scrooge, which will be their last movie inspired seasonal ale of 2018.

Arriving with an ABV of 4.3%, Mr Scrooge, Robinsons annual Christmas beer, is the seasonal gift that just keeps on giving… until it runs out of course! This once a year fruity treat is copper in colour and entwined with rich and warming flavours of toffee and biscuit malt, balanced by a subtle snap of citrus, perfect for those cold winter nights. 

Gill Yates, Brands Manager for Robinsons Brewery, said:

“Mr Scrooge is back by popular demand. We sold roughly 87,480 pints last year and we’re delighted to say it’s made it onto 2018’s beer list as well. Exclusively designed for the month of December, we hope Mr Scrooge will raise a nostalgic smile at the bar and not make our drinkers say, ‘Bah Humbug’. The popularity of ‘A Christmas Carol’ spans generations and remains an iconic film for the whole family. It’s a Christmas classic and the perfect inspiration for our festive seasonal. We hope everybody gets a chance to taste this wonderful ale.”

Mr Scrooge is a limited-edition cask beer and only available during December, so fill your stockings while the generosity lasts.
