Bramhall micropub The Mounting Stone are celebrating after being named best pub in the CityLife Awards 2016.
The Mounting Stone were not the only members of Stockport’s growing food and drink scene to make it to the prestigious CityLife Awards shortlist. Town centre restaurant, Where The Light Gets In, and the Indian Tiffin Room in Cheadle were selected for recognition by the awards too.
Councillor Kate Butler, Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration at Stockport Council said: “Congratulations to The Mounting Stone on this amazing achievement. This is fantastic news and I’m delighted that all of your hard work has been celebrated by the CityLife Awards.
“I’d also like to congratulate The Indian Tiffin Room and Where The Light Gets In who were highlighted in the shortlist too. It’s great to see Stockport’s growing food and drink offer being celebrated by regional awards, at a time when we’re making huge investments across our town making it an even better place to live, work and visit.”
