Stockport travel operator, Miss Ellie’s Travel, has donated a holiday to be raffled at next month’s Stockport Business Awards.
Miss Ellie’s has donated a seven-night luxury holiday in the 5-star Daios Cove resort in Crete for two including a deluxe sea view room, return flights and transfers – worth over £3,000.
Stockport Business Awards, set up by Clarke Nicklin and now in its fifth year, is organised in conjunction with local businesses Orbit, NatWest and Gorvins solicitors. E
Each year, the sponsors select a local charity to be the awards charity of the year.
This year the organisers have chosen Francis House Children’s Hospice, who will benefit from this year’s fundraising efforts.
Money is raised on the night through a raffle, with heaps of fantastic prizes up for grabs including the holiday.
Andrew Baggott, Managing Partner at Clarke Nicklin, said: “The businesses in Stockport are so generous year on year and we’re extremely grateful to them for getting behind the event to help raise funds for such a great cause.
“This year we have some of the best prizes yet with iPads, champagne and generous gift vouchers amongst the treats to be won.”
Organisers hope to raise even more for Francis House thanks to the generosity of Miss Ellie’s Travel.
Francis House is a very special hospice caring for children with a short life expectancy.
All children that go to the hospice have been diagnosed as having ‘no cure’ so Francis House try to improve the quality of their short lives.
Francis House not only supports the child, but the family as a whole, both emotionally and physically in the many months before, and after, a child’s death.
It’s free of charge to all who stay, and is a loved and treasured place by the children and families that use it.
Andrew added: “Miss Ellie’s have been incredibly generous and we can’t thank them enough, this prize is better than we could’ve ever hoped for and one person in the room on the night is going to be incredibly lucky to win.”
Stockport Business Awards 2016 takes place on 13th October at Stockport Town Hall.
It is an event set up for businesses by businesses. It is organised by accountancy practice Clarke Nicklin, and headline sponsors are high profile businesses from the region; Gorvins Solicitors, Orbit Developments and NatWest.
