
The Stockport Digital Network will hold its next networking event on Thursday 29th June to bring together the borough’s thriving digital businesses.
The organisation, set up by Stockport Council’s Economy, Work and Skills team, aims to connect digital businesses in Stockport to share experiences and opportunities for further growth.
The upcoming session will be led by Microsoft’s Greater Manchester Region Lead, Marie Hamilton, who has recently agreed to become the Network’s Chair.
Taking place this time at Stockport’s Light Cinema in the town centre, Marie will host this free informal event for digital businesses with a focus on digital data: how making better use of your data will help grow your business.
Other speakers confirmed for the event are:
- Ed Whittaker – MD of SDS Ltd, based in Broadstone Mill, who provide custom data capture and analysis systems to the education and commercial sectors. Ed’s talk will cover some pitfalls for businesses to avoid as well as some innovations with business information management systems.
- Jason Welch – Head of Data and Analytics at MusicMagpie. Jason will speak about what one of Stockport’s largest businesses has been doing on their data journey.
- Liam Connors – Account Manager for Stockport at the Business Growth Hub. Liam will provide overview of the organisation’s services and support available for digital businesses.
Registration starts from 11am. Talks from 11.30am, followed by networking over light lunch from 12.30pm. The event will finish by 1.30pm.
