Merseyway shopping centre is on the hunt for a local, not-for-profit organisation, to become its Charity of the Year.
The shopping centre is encouraging local groups and charities to nominate themselves to become the centre’s dedicated charity from July 2018 to July 2019.
The Merseyway team will fundraise for the chosen charity throughout the year and also during the centre’s popular calendar of events.
Charities and community groups who wish to be considered should complete an online application outlining how they would benefit from the partnership online HERE
Any community group, project or organisation can be nominated, however they must be registered as a charity and based within the local area. The nomination deadline is Friday 25 May 2018. Terms and conditions apply, please visit the Merseyway website for more information.
Brendan Webb, Centre Manager at Merseyway said
“At Merseyway, the local community is incredibly important to us and we’re committed to supporting a charity over the next 12 months that has a true impact on our town. We’re really looking forward to developing a new partnership and would encourage nominations from local charities and community groups who are pro-active and keen to take part in fundraising initiatives throughout the year.”
Established in 1965, and built on giant arches above the river Mersey, Merseyway was one of the first shopping centres to open in the UK. The centre is anchored Debenhams and Primark, amongst a wide range of other national multiple retailers including Boots, Office, Topshop and Waterstones.
