A group of Manchester Entrepreneurs are getting together to open up on mental health. The trio, based at NatWest’s Entrepreneurial Spark, are hosting a free workshop on 17th July.
The workshop will look to help individuals who may be experiencing stress or anxiety in the workplace or at home, by providing helpful and useful advice on how to deal with it. The free session is also aimed at employers who might not be going through anxieties of their own, but need to know how to deal with it if issues arise amongst staff.
Delegates are expected to come away with tools not only to understand and identify mental health problems at work and at home, but to deal with them by implementing proven successful strategies. They’ll also have learnt some useful tips for becoming more empathetic towards mental health, reducing stress levels and achieving a healthy mental attitude.
Charlotte Lingard of Separation Support is one of the guest speakers. Separation Support provides support and guidance for those going through separation through a range of workshops and free to access web portal.
Charlotte presents alongside Janet Jones, author of The Happiness Millionaire, and Andrew Hodge a speaking confidence coach.
Charlotte discusses the importance of covering mental health and learning more about dealing with it in the workplace;
“Mental health issues are dominating the media right now and rightly so. My business helps people who are suffering mental health issues because of relationship breakdowns or conflict, but this workshop is aimed at anybody who has potential to suffer stress or anxiety at work or home, mental health affects us all.”
The workshop is free to attend. As well as three highly insightful presentations, there will be Q&A, and opportunity to network with peers.
Mental health can affect someone at any point in their life. Entrepreneurial Spark wants to help fight the stigma and give people the confidence to understand mental health more and ask the personal questions that may be on their mind.
