ME Group, a LegalTech provider of litigation funding, insurance and legal representation for consumers facing complex legal problems, is relocating to The Lake House at Cheadle Royal Business Park in Stockport.
The deal is being hailed as the largest property deal in south Manchester in years.
Currently located at Alderley Park in 18,000 sq ft of office space, the ME Group is taking 37,900 sq ft of grade A space at The Lake House, Cheadle Royal. The new deal is a ten-year lease with a break option at the fifth year.
Previously occupied by Balfour Beatty, the new deal is a ten-year lease with a break option at the fifth year.
Williams Sillitoe and Canning O’Neill – acting on behalf of Seneca Property Investments – secured the let to ME Group.
Rob Cooper, group chief executive for ME Group, said:
“Our employment pool is in the South Manchester area and so we were keen to remain in this area, and we are pleased to find a great site which will support the future of our rapidly growing LegalTech business.
“We have taken the building in its existing fully fitted configuration and will be appointing a contractor to create an innovative space that will facilitate the significant growth plans we have.”
Chris Bullough, director at Seneca Property Investments, added:
“It’s fantastic to be able to welcome ME Group to The Lake House and I’m sure it will prove to be the perfect environment for them to continue their impressive growth.
“While The Lake House has always been a desirable HQ location, this has certainly been enhanced by the opening of the new £290m Manchester Airport Relief Road which is a huge asset to the area.”
