In recent weeks, MAN Diesel & Turbo UK’s (MDT-UK’s) Academy in Stockport has welcomed visitors from the other side of the world and much closer to home.
Jasmine Zhu and Muhammad Azhar, who joined the MAN Singapore Sales Team earlier this year, visited the Stockport Academy from 30 June to 4 July to meet the company’s UK Sales Team and for a familiarisation course on its Heritage range of engines.

The Academy has also been training the potential next generation of British Engineers.
As part of their work experience at the Hazel Grove facility, students from Stockport Technical School (above left) and Aquinas College (above right) spent time in the Academy to receive an introduction to the Company and its diesel engines. They also had the chance to carry out some practical tasks on one of the many engines in the Academy’s engine hall.
The MDT-UK’s Stockport Academy is keen to give the youngsters a taste of engineering and have the chance to promote its worldwide business to local people.
