Mastercall and remote monitoring partner, Dignio UK, have been awarded funding for their innovative solution to pressure in the post-pandemic NHS.
Mastercall are partnering with Trafford Council/CGG and Trafford Care Homes to expand Virtual Ward best practice in Greater Manchester working with remote monitoring experts Dignio UK. The project provides an innovative way of tackling the current treatment backlog and workforce pressure in the health service stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Stockport-based healthcare business is also working with the Greater Manchester AHSN to supplement the service further with 24/7 CurrentHealth wearables for high acuity patients.
Mastercall and Dignio UK’s funding award is among nine solutions winning support through a nationwide call by SBRI Healthcare, NHS England, NHS Improvement the Accelerated Access Collaborative and AHSN Network. The competition was the first Phase 3 funding challenge of its kind, designed to take technologies from the clinical evaluation stage of development to real-world implementation.
The award is the second for Mastercall’s partnership with Dignio UK to be announced this week. Collaborative work with medtech firm Advanced received funding from NHS Digital and NHSX investment in Digital PODAC to improve digitisation in the pharmacy, optometry, dentistry, ambulance and community sectors.
The funding builds on previous recognition for Mastercall and Dignio’s collaboration, including a recent shortlisting at the 2022 HSJ Awards for their Technology Enhanced Living (TEL) service.
