Sailing holiday specialists, PlainSailing.com, have been shortlisted in the Best Travel Company for Sailing / Flotilla Holidays at this year’s British Travel Awards.
The Marple based business has made the shortlist in the first year that sailing holiday providers have been recognised in their own category at the awards, with PlainSailing.com previously having been nominated alongside activity and sports holiday providers.
Tommy Tognarelli, co-founder of PlainSailing.com, said:
“Getting on the shortlist of the British Travel Awards is an outstanding achievement, and goes to show how far we have come over the last eight years. These awards really do recognise the very best people and companies working in the travel industry, and to be considered amongst them is a huge honour.
“This is a new category in the British Travel Awards – previously we were just bracketed under ‘Activity Holidays’ so we’re now calling on all sailors to get behind this category, vote for us, and show the industry just how big we are.“
The finalists for the British Travel Awards have been selected by a panel of judges from the industry. Winners, however, will be chosen in each category through a public vote held online.
Tommy Tognarelli added:
