Gemma McCall, Relationship Director at branding agency Trust, has formed Manc Mamas, a northern movement to help working mothers grow their network, inspire, collaborate, and empower one another.
The group first began in August 2106, and is already helping to boost business across the north west.
The group, which was also co-founded alongside Lynda Moyo of Trinity Mirror Group and Lisa Shephard of Manchester-based law firm DWF, has a rapidly growing social media following and has already held a number of well-attended events in Manchester City Centre.

Group co-founder Gemma said:
“We’re three Greater Manchester-based mums with three very different professions, but one shared interest… making the return to the workplace after maternity leave easier for women.
“Our aim is to boost collaboration across the north west by hosting regular meet-ups and events with talks from local working mothers who can share their successes and experiences. We are so inspired by the mums and businesses we’ve already met and love seeing them collaborate following meeting at our events. We’re sure the next Working Mums’ Club will continue to grow the gang further, we look forward to meeting new faces as well as catching up with the mums we’re already supporting.”
Manc Mamas is hosting their next event for working mothers on Tuesday 26th September, with successful entrepreneur Rachel Ray, founder of ethical, professional and eco-friendly domestic cleaning business, Bright & Beautiful.
The Working Mums’ Club, on Tuesday 26th September at Banyan in The Corn Exchange, is an opportunity for mums who work or own their own businesses to get together, share their business stories, grow their network and hear from other inspirational working mothers on how they’re making it work.
Tickets for the next Working Mums’ Club are priced at £15, and are available here.
