Mirrless Fields is getting an orchard and a ‘Hazel Grove’ thanks to MAN Diesel & Turbo, Cheshire Wildlife Trust and Helping Britain Blossom.
Mirrlees Fields, formerly the golf course and recreational area enjoyed by employees of Mirrlees and now owned by MAN Diesel & Turbo, are welcoming volunteers from across the community.
All are welcome to join them for the planting of their community orchard, along with the team from Helping Britain Blossom, on Sunday 6th March from 11am – 2pm.
Members of the Friends of Mirrlees Fields have already received pruning and winter care training from Helping Britain Blossom and now all that’s left to do is plant the trees.
On the day they will also be joined by team members from Cheshire Wildlife Trust who will help us to plant a real-life ‘Hazel Grove’.
Family Friendly – the Activity is for all the family although children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
