All staff affected by the upcoming closure of the South Yorkshire airport will be able to receive a guaranteed interview for vacancies at any MAG site – East Midlands, Manchester and London Stansted airports. The group recently held a jobs fair in Wythenshawe, showcasing over 650 vacancies at Manchester Airport, with further fairs set to take place to meet recruitment needs of its other sites.

Owner, Peel Airports, announced that Doncaster Sheffield Airport would wind down from 31st October 2022, citing a lack of financial viability. The closure of the airport comes despite an offer of short-term support from local government to keep the site open.
Doncaster Sheffield Airport employs over 800 people, and serves popular European destinations from airlines including TUI and Wizz Air.
