Harrytown High School is looking for Stockport employers to support them to prepare Year 10 and 11 students for life after education and take part in a mock job interview day on Friday 20th October.
Pupils will have completed a short CV and there will be a sheet of a few questions for each pupil. The interviewers will be going through these as if it were a real-life interview in a professional setting. Then afterwards there is time for the interviewer to give some feedback on how the pupils can improve interview techniques, build confidence.
The experience is to try to give pupils a bit of an authentic rehearsal to what college or job interviews might be like and also help them to prepare for life beyond Harrytown. Pupils wear business like clothes and have individual time slots.
The school is looking for employers to take part from 9am till 3pm, but this could be 9-12 or 12-3 if you can only spare a couple of hours. There is free parking and lunch will be provided.
Employers interested in taking part should contact the Stockport Jobs Match team for more information on 0161 808 0400. Around six additional employers are needed for the event to ensure all students can have a mock interview timeslot on the day.
