Light Cinema Stockport reveals new event spaces

Following an unprecedented initial trading period, the Light Cinema Stockport are delighted to shine a spotlight on their unique event spaces and screens.

The cinema’s recent refurbishment and extension provides excellent facilities for meetings, private screenings and presentations, corporate events, drinks receptions, celebrations and away days.   

Facilities now include the light and airy Rowena Room, the individual Babylon and Atlantis Lounges and a beautifully converted horsebox bar and garden providing a vibrant and versatile venue to host any event, large or intimate.   

The Rowena Room has its own private entrance, accommodates up to 60 people and can be accessed via Screen 12.  It features a large format display screen which can be easily hooked up to a PC or tablet.

12 state of the art screens vary in capacity from 42 to 177 seats and offer advanced technology including Dolby 7.1 surround sound, dedicated event wifi and accessible parking.

All spaces provide a full menu offering a delicious range of food and a wide choice of drinks which can be tailored to requirements and The Light’s professional and friendly team work closely with each and every client to help create the perfect event.

Since it was founded in 2007, Light Cinemas has opened 10 cinemas in Stockport, Bolton, Sheffield, Bradford, Addlestone, Walsall, Wisbech, Thetford, Cambridge and New Brighton.

The chain offers both mainstream and independent films, including live theatre, music, opera and ballet screenings. The cinemas also host special events and prides itself on offering a selection of local food and drink.
