A ground breaking programme ‘actiLIFE’ being developed by Life Leisure, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Spark of Innovation’ category of this year’s ukactive and Matrix Flame National Awards.
The Awards are the most highly coveted accolade of the health and fitness sector. They recognise suppliers, operators, educational institutes, health practitioners and corporate organisations that have demonstrated exceptional standards across their area of work.
Speaking after the announcement, ukactive CEO, David Stalker said “We would like to congratulate each and every finalist who has reached this shortlist stage. The assessment process is known for being the toughest in the business and the level of competition just gets better every year. We look forward to celebrating with all the finalists at this year’s Flame Awards Ceremony to be held in Telford on 2nd July”.
Michelle Childs, Physical Activity Development Manager at Life Leisure who is driving the initiative said, ‘We are delighted to be shortlisted as a Flame finalist. actiLIFE is a really exciting project that is an innovative combination of technology and coaching from our health team. It is ideal for anyone who is currently leading a sedentary lifestyle, but would like to make changes for the better.
She continued, “The programme offers a great alternative to the traditional gym environment and helps to produce positive health benefits. The technology delivers feedback to individuals via a personal actiLIFE online account and is a great motivational tool that allows participants to monitor their own activity levels and check their progress, with the support of a member of the Life Leisure team.”
