Launch event for Stockport Business Awards 2018

The 7th Stockport Business Awards 2018 is to be launched next month open to all Stockport based businesses.

Main sponsors and organisers, Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants, set up the first event in 2012 and will host the launch of the highly prestigious Stockport Business Awards on Thursday 22^nd March at The Light Cinema at Redrock, Stockport.

Now a firm fixture in the Stockport business community’s Autumn schedule, the free to attend launch event is open to all Stockport based businesses and will give attendees a chance to view highlights from last year’s event on the big screen, find out more about this year’s event, and an opportunity to network with past winners and Stockport’s business community.

The 2018 Stockport Business Awards will take place on Thursday 11^th October and entries will open in April – keep an eye on the Stockport Business Awards website  for more information and updates.

Stockport Business Awards 2017

Last year’s event at Stockport Town Hall attracted 400 of Stockport’s finest business men and women who turned out to celebrate the achievements of the town’s best businesses.

12 awards were given out in total including two new categories – Best Creative Agency which went to Platform 81, and Best Food Business which went to Angkor Soul, a Cambodian restaurant based in Marple, which is 1 of only 2 Cambodian restaurants in the UK.

The awards are supported by headline sponsors Gorvins Solicitors and Orbit Developments.

Jenny Powell who did a fantastic job of keeping the excited crowd quiet for those all-important moments. NSPCC were the chosen charity and £4,600 was raised for their “Speak out, Stay safe” service which visits primary school children in Stockport to educate them on abuse.
