The latest announcements reagrding roadworks planned for Stockport are affecting the areas around Edgeley and Marple Bridge.
Stockport Council is carrying out carriageway works on York Street from the junctions with Chatham Street to Old Chapel Street in Edgeley. The work is due to start on 11th August and is expected to take up to 5 days to complete. To carry out this work it will be necessary to restrict traffic movements with a road closure for through traffic on York Street from 8.00am to 5.30pm daily. During this time a signed diversion will be in operation to minimise disruption and allow safe working operations to take place.
Stockport Council is carrying out works on Glossop Road in Marple Bridge outside Higher Stirrup and Meadowbank Farms, close to the High Peak border. These works require the use of temporary traffic signals from 4th to 9th August, between 9.30am and 3:30pm daily.
