LATEST ROADWORKS IN STOCKPORT

Stockport Council are planning to carry out a number of roadworks across the borough throughout May. Below is a list of the latest roadwork projects Stockport:

• United Utilities will be undertaking works on Northenden Road in Gatley between the junctions with West End Avenue and Greenbank Road. These works will take place between 7^th and 13^th May and will require the use of two-way signals, between 9.30am and 3.30pm daily.
• National Grid Gas will be undertaking gas main works on Edgeley Road in Cheadle Heath at the junction with Huntley Road, from Thursday 8^th to Friday 30^th May. These works require the use of two-way signals, on Edgeley Road, for part of the works, from 9.30am on Friday 9^th to Sunday 11^th May and on Saturday 17^th and Sunday 18^th May. Also, as part of the works Huntley Road will be closed to traffic, with diversions in place via Edgeley Road, Bird Hall Lane, Sherborne Road and Huntley Road.
• Stockport Council will be carrying out work on the footway on Handforth Road, between Newark Road and Alderley Road. This work is due to start on 6^th May and will take up to two weeks to complete. Access to properties will be maintained where possible but may be restricted for certain periods as the work progresses.
