Last chance to get the winter Covid-19 booster

Following the announcement that the national winter Covid-19 booster vaccination programme is ending, Stockport residents have until 11th February to top-up their immunity.

The vaccination clinic running at the One Stockport Hub in the town centre (Mersey Square, SK1 1RA) will be open for the final time on Saturday 11th February from 9.30am to 3.30pm. No booking is required – anyone who is eligible to receive this second booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccination can just walk in.

Special arrangements will be put in place for those people at extreme clinical risk from Covid-19 who need a vaccination after this date.

Jennifer Connolly, Director of Public Health for Stockport, said:

“Now is the time for anyone who has not yet had their winter Covid booster to get it, especially those over 50.

“I urge anyone who still needs a Covid vaccination to take advantage of this convenient town centre pop-up clinic before it closes.”
