Laser Quantum – Stockport

A laser manufacturer has bought an overseas customer as it looks to expand its portfolio of technologies and boost its distribution into German-speaking countries. Laser Quantum is a University of Manchester spin-out company based in Stockport which develops and manufactures lasers used by scientists and academics in areas such as DNA sequencing and pharmaceutical research. It has bought another laser company, Gigaoptics, based in Konstanz, Germany.
