Independent Stockport garage, John Delany Motors, has been able to make a generous donation of warm clothing for homelessness charity, The Wellspring, this December.
In September, John Delany Motors took delivery of a Wellspring Collection Bin. Over the last three months, the garage has been able to fill that bin several times over thanks to its staff and customers, and a concerted social media effort.
The team have provided warm clothing, shoes and blankets to help the homeless during the cold winter months. The Stockport homelessness charity, The Wellspring, will be distributing the donations in the coming weeks.
As a thank you to donors, the John Delany Motors team have recorded a special Christmas song and music video.
John Delany Motors was established in 1980 and is the largest independent garage in Stockport. The company will celebrate its fortieth anniversary next year.
What the Wellspring do
The Wellspring support rough sleepers and those at risk of becoming homeless to secure accommodation, access education and health services that can often be out of reach for vulnerable people. They also provide free food and drink 365 days a year, and provide people rough sleeping with showers, clean clothing, blankets and sleeping bags, as well as 1-to-1 support planning.
