Jet2.com are planning to take on more former Thomas Cook employees as it continues to add new destinations and more aircraft to its growing programme for travellers.
To date, Jet2.com has already taken on more than 120 former Thomas Cook employees across diverse roles following the collapse of the UK’s oldest tour operator last September. More than 50 pilots, 20 engineers and 40 cabin crew who lost their jobs have been engaged by Jet2.com who anticipate appointing another 50 pilots by the end of Q1 2020. 20 of the 40 cabin crew will be of based out of Manchester Airport.
Shortly after Thomas Cook went into administration, Manchester Airport hosted a recruitment fair to provide new opportunities to those who had lost their jobs.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive Steve Heapy said:

Jet2 are also looking to take on an additional 50 engineers.
Last month, Jet2.com won Best Short-Haul Airline at the British Travel Awards Beating a number of other airlines. Over 400,000 consumers voted for their favourite travel companies between July and September this year, giving their verdicts on airlines, where Jet2’s VIP customer service was recognised once again.
From summer 2020, the airline and travel company will operate a fleet of over 110 aircraft.
