Jet2 has announced plans to expand its programme of flights and holidays ahead of the Summer 2024 season from Manchester and other airports across the UK.
The expansion will see a total of 75,000 additional seats to 17 destinations added to the travel company’s roster next year. For holidaymakers flying from Manchester Airport, Jet2 has announced extra capacity to eight destinations, including Tivat in Montenegro (pictured), Izmir and Antalya in Turkey, Reus, Girona and Ibiza in Spain, Dubrovnik in Croatia, and the Greek island of Rhodes.
Strong demand for package holidays post-pandemic has also seen Jet2 bring forward the start of its summer season for a number of popular destinations to March and April to give customers and travel agents greater choice of dates for those looking to enjoy some early summer sun.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said:
“As the UK’s largest tour operator, we are continuing to react quickly to the demand we are seeing by adding on even more capacity for Summer 24. Customers and independent travel agents have been flocking to book holidays for the early summer season, so we are delighted to be offering even more choice and flexibility to 17 sun destinations and giving holidaymakers many opportunities to get away on our award-winning flights and holidays. By extending the season to Tivat, Girona and Izmir, as well as adding additional services to a host of destinations for the early summer season, we are giving customers exactly what they want – an early slice of summer sun, and we know just how much they will be jumping at the chance to get away and grab this.”
In addition to extra flights from Manchester Airport, nine other UK airports will also see a boost in seat number offered by Jet2 in 2024: Belfast International, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle International and London Stansted.
