JCM Foundation, the charitable arm of Stockport-based JCM Business Solutions, has launched a fighting fund to help address child food poverty in Stockport.
Working to provide for the Stockport Food Network, JCM Foundation has been selected as Stockport Mayor’s Charity of the year. In Stockport alone, around 70,000 or 1 in 3 live at or below the poverty line, affecting their mental health, schooling and family life. Stockport Food Network works to provide food and clothing to families who need it most.
Chris Moran, managing director of JCM explains:
“A central pillar of the JCM Foundation is to bring organisations together to join their charitable contributions into a fighting fund. To that end we have started the 100 club. We’d like to get 100 businesses in Stockport paying £100 per month to the foundation. All the donated funds will be spent within the Food Network where it is needed most.
“By becoming a member, not only will your pledge be a huge helping hand in increasing the impact of the Foundation’s work, but you will also be giving your business a big tick in the CSR box, showing that your business cares about making a positive difference to their society.”
For the price of a daily cup of coffee, companies can join forces through the Foundation to direct their CSR where it is needed most. Regular reports and updates are provided. 100% of the £100pm donation goes directly into funding the Foundation’s initiatives, from filling food banks, providing food vouchers, funding breakfast clubs and so much more. 100% goes directly into helping end childhood hunger.
