American Airlines have introduced a new refreshed Business Class experience on flights between Manchester and New York’s JFK airport, the first UK airport to showcase their exceptional new product.
Flights between Manchester (MAN) and New York (JFK) will be operated using newly retro-fitted Boeing 767-300ER aircraft from 29th March.
28 passengers will enjoy fully lie-flat Business Class seats with aisle access from every seat, new on-board LCD drop-down monitors, new digital audio systems, refreshed lavatories and new seat covers and cushions.
As more retrofitted aircraft prepare to enter service, American will deploy the refreshed aircraft to additional international and domestic markets.
David Thomas, American Airlines Director of Sales for UK and Ireland said:
“We are delighted to introduce this new Business Class product to Manchester. The fully lie-flat seats with all-aisle-access are similar to our flagship B777-300ERs providing a more consistent transatlantic experience to our customers.
“Manchester is important to American Airlines and to our joint business with British Airways; it is appropriate that it should be our UK launch market for these upgraded aircraft.”
Mats Sigurdson, Aviation Director at MAG said:
“We are delighted that American Airlines is not only increasing capacity on its route to New York out of Manchester Airport, by upgrading to a Boeing 767, but it is also pleasing to see a new business class product introduced. With over 50 weekly flights to the USA, Manchester Airport is the global gateway for the North and continued increased capacity (across numerous carriers) showcases the vital role we play in UK aviation and the desire for the 22m people in our catchment area to fly direct from Manchester.”
