Formally known as SK1, Stockport Technical School has asked Marketing Stockport member and Cheadle Hulme based Inness Design to create and develope its branding and marketing materials.
The school is the first technical school in the country for students aged 14-18. The brief was to develop the STS brand to reflect the schools ground breaking approach to career focussed education.
The solution was an arrow based logo created by two seperate elements coming together represesenting the fundamental collaboratuion between education and local employers. The arrow logo also reflects the school core function of helping it’s students prepare to move there careers forward.
Inness Design created both primary and secondary branding elements. The branding roll-out continues and so far has included advertising, photography, exhibition materials and a school brochure.
Inness said
“We were delighted to be asked to work on this project. Stockport Technical School is a genuine trail blazer based in the borough and is making a difference by meeting both the educational needs of young people and the skills needs of local industry”
The schools Principal, Philippa Ollerhead, commented:
“Inness Design worked with the school to design and develop a new school logo, brochure, and additional communication media. The speed, professionalism and creativity were outstanding and the school staff and Board of Governors are delighted with the end result.
“The effectiveness of these materials was tested at our first open evening of the year, which was the busiest we have ever experienced, we will undoubtedly be working with Inness Design for many years to come.”
