The Association of British Insures – ABI – has announced that Danish firm Lima and Alpha Insurance have been declared bankrupt.
The announcement came yesterday evening and the IBA warned that all fleet insurance policies with Lima / Alpha Insurance are cancelled with immediate effect from today.
Lima specialised in the Haulage, Courier, Self Drive Hire and Private Hire Industries.
Stockport based C&C Insurance Brokers have stepped up to the mark and are offering their services to operators who are insured with Lima and need assistance.

Danish firm Alpha insured around 700 taxi drivers and 10,000 minicab drivers in the UK through brands such as Cover My Cab and Protector.
