Heaton Chapel Mexican restaurant, La Capilla, has announced the grand opening of its second location in the historic Blackshaws building in Stockport town centre.
Following the success of the first restaurant in Heaton Chapel, the team behind La Capilla are excited to bring the vibrant flavours of Mexico to Stockport’s historic Market Place. The restaurant will occupy a stunning building that has been lovingly restored to preserve its original charm and character, previously occupied by the Blackshaws Café, which closed in September 2022. The unique blend of Mexican cuisine against this backdrop of heritage promises a unique dining experience for both locals and visiting food lovers.
Alex Bond, Operations at La Capilla said:
“We are delighted to expand our culinary venture and share the warmth of Mexico with the community at the heart of Stockport. We cannot wait to welcome everyone to our new second home.”

The new La Capilla Mexican Restaurant will bring to Stockport town centre a diverse menu that showcases the authentic tastes of Mexico, from mouthwatering tacos and burritos bursting with fresh ingredients, to colourful frozen margaritas, and weekly specials to die for.
La Capilla will open on Friday 15th September, and has now started to accept bookings online.
