Stockport County have relaunched thier Healthy Living Intiative in Primary Schools which is being supported by The Vernon Building Society, Life Leisure and Stockport Council.
The healthy living initiative which will see first team players carry out a series of presentations in primary schools which will be available free of charge.
Along with its partners and sponsors, the club will be educating children on healthy living, lifestyles, safety and being respectful.
After the sessions, each pupil will be given a colour magazine that provides more details on the initaitive, puzzles, competitions and cartoons.
This is yet another great initiaive by the Club and the importance of engaging in the community at an early age.
County’s Commercial Manager Chris Jolley who assisted with the delivery of the previous scheme in schools commented “We are delighted to be able to re-launch this initiative. It would not have been possible without the assistance of our primary partners namely, the Vernon Building Society, Life Leisure and Stockport Council and we are all excited about getting the show back on the road.
Not only will we assist with the education of thousands of primary school children but we will also be offering ‘live’ football at zero cost for these same children, generating long term support for the future of the club.”
The club are seeking the support of local businesses to aid with the production of the magazine which helps to reinforce the messages to the children and will be distributed into 10,000 local homes. Prominent full or half page advertising are available at highly competitive rates and any company wishing to participate should contact Chris Jolley, Commercial & Media Manager for Stockport County FC at
