Oliver Robinson and Sue Souter have been announced as headline speakers for the Stockport Business Expo 2014.
The Managing Director of Robinsons Brewery and Stockport President of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce are two of the big names to confirm they will be speaking at this year’s event, now in its 3rd year and taking place on 19th November at Edgeley Park Stadium, Stockport.
Started by local creative events company innov8 Conference Services, the Stockport Business Expo has been praised by delegates and exhibitors for producing a creative and exciting show each year.
Key to the success of the Stockport Business Expo has been its ability to attract the most exciting and relevant speakers, with this year being no different. Both Oliver Robinson and Sue Souter, prominent figures on the Stockport Business scene, have been confirmed as the 2 Keynote speakers for the event.
Oliver Robinson, (left) Managing Director of Frederic Robinsons Brewery commented;
“I’m delighted to support Stockport’s Business Expo as a key speaker – it will be great to see so many brilliant businesses from the town all under one roof. We’ve been based in Stockport since 1838, so naturally as an independent family company we have tasted both the ups and the downs of business in Stockport over the past 175 years – so we like to think we can relate to a lot of businesses in the town; their challenges and opportunities, where they are now and where they are going.
“For me, Stockport is one of the best places to do business in the whole of Greater Manchester… hence our long-term commitment to the town. Accessible, entrepreneurial and welcoming, Stockport is becoming increasingly known as a destination of choice.”
Sue Souter, (pictured right) – Managing Director of Souter PR and Stockport President for the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, re-iterated the importance of the event to Stockport, stating,
“Stockport Expo is an increasingly important and well attended event for Stockport – the only exhibition dedicated to the Borough’s business community – and I am delighted to be speaking this year. I will be focusing on how to put a really compelling and consistent narrative together around a business using traditional and social media channels and how that helps drive leads with practical examples of success.”
The speaker line up with also include 2 more speakers, to be confirmed.
Alongside the seminar programme there will be over 50 exhibitors showcasing products and services from the Stockport and Great Manchester areas. The show has already sold over 50% of stands and is set to be even bigger than last year’s event.
