Hatters Promotions has become the latest Marketing Stockport member to benefit from the opportunities that it creates for its member and has moved into fellow member Orbit Development’s Regent House in Stockport town centre. The award-winning promotional merchandising specialists are moving from Cheadle to the 10th floor of Orbit’s flagship building.
Hatters was set up 17 years ago by Managing Director Jo Shippen to meet the needs of businesses requiring creative, bespoke and personalised products to complement brand or campaign messages.
Her team prides itself on finding the best innovative products and has extended its range of sustainable items and pledged to buy from British manufacturers whenever possible.
Jo (pictured left) said she was excited about moving into one of Stockport’s most high profile office spaces:
“We have been working with Orbit for the last year or so and have got the know the team and their portfolio of property and we feel this is the right time to commit our business to being in the heart of Stockport’s town centre.
“We are a Stockport-based business and we are passionate about seeing the town centre succeed and to that end it needs to attract successful firms. I would like to think Hatters – with our huge network of local and national clients – could make a contribution to the changing perceptions of the place.”
Jo has been impressed by the scale of investment from both public and private sector who have clear ambitions for Stockport.
“We want to be part of it all,” she added. “Regent House fits the bill in terms of location, the space is great and we love The Hub.”
The Hub is a business lounge on the 11th floor of Regent House offering free wi-fi, desks and space for informal meetings.
“That’s a bonus for us,” said Jo, “and somewhere to meet other businesses in the building.”
As part of the move Hatters Promotions has added a new full-time employee to the team and expects to be recruiting again in the next six months.
Hatters works with the charity ‘Buy One, Give One’ which gives aid to people in need around the world providing access to clean water, meals, education and medical support. For every new customer, Hatters makes a donation.
Orbit Developments Managing Director Tony Jones said Hatters Promotions was exactly the kind of company the town centre needs and welcomed them to Regent House:
“We share in Jo’s excitement around what’s happening to the town centre at the moment. It is the perfect time to be moving in and we wish her well. Stockport is full of businesses who are committed to improving the town so Hatters will fit in well.”
Regent House is part of Orbit’s SKone customer reward scheme which offers a range of benefits for customers like free use of The Hub and great deals with local businesses including Lord of the Pies, Jake Shoes and Cafelito – all recent additions to the scheme.
The building has recently undergone significant improvements to the reception and common areas. Superfast broadband (provided by Metronet) is available throughout Orbit’s Stockport town centre property portfolio to suit businesses which are reliant on reliable, high speed internet connections.
