Hallidays’ sweet tooth has helped raise £148 with a bake sale and a cake raffle for their chosen charity of the year, Beacon Counselling. Team members kindly contributed a delicious assortment of cakes including an impressive chocolate cake which alone raised £75 in the raffle.
Beacon Counselling provides services to help improve the lives of people who may be dealing with depression, bereavement, anxiety, stress or relationship difficulties to name just a few. Working with adults, young people and children, they provide counselling services to people across Stockport and South Manchester.
Next it’s Skydiving for Beacon!
Hallidays’ next fundraising activity for Beacon Counselling will be altogether different as on Monday 18th August, 6 of their bravest team members will be jumping out of a plane at 15,000ft!
Anna Bennett, Director; Nichola Coles, Client Manager; Nicola Jackson, Payroll Manager; Simon Leitch-Devlin, Accounts and Audit Technician; Nick Holton, Accounts Trainee; and Merryn O’Keefe, Accounts Trainee have all set themselves the challenge of taking part in the skydive.
Nicola Jackson, Payroll Manager, said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity to do something I have always wanted to do, whilst raising money for a very worthy cause.”
The skydive will take place at Black Knights Parachute Centre near Lancaster.

Although Beacon receives some funding and grants, their services are reliant on donations from clients, fundraising events, gift aid and other donations to keep it going.
