Stockport accountancy firm Hallidays has praised its colleagues who have delivered business advisory services during the pandemic.
Hallidays has been on an incredible journey supporting a wide range of businesses, both local and international, throughout the pandemic. Paul Whitney, Hallidays MD (pictured) explains how the firm has helped business owners to adapt and where possible, quickly seize new opportunities:
“Because we really get to know our clients, we’re able to be proactive and tailor our advice and support enabling business owners to take the action that’s right for both themselves and their business. Working with a wide range of businesses and organisations, we’ve seen first-hand the diversity in how businesses were affected by the pandemic. We supported a pub owner stranded on a cruise ship with limited internet access to furlough his team. We advised and supported a gin producer to quickly switch their production to hand sanitiser, diversifying their business to reach a new market and help tackle the pandemic. Our Corporate Finance Team had a surge in demand as we’ve facilitated business acquisitions, management buy-outs and business disposals enabling businesses to evolve in exciting new directions.”
Paul reflects on the past year and is optimistic about the future:
“I’m incredibly proud of how hard our team worked supporting business owners in sometimes very stressful circumstances to take bold action. As we already had robust IT systems and a paperless office our whole team quickly switched to homeworking, ensuring our clients received an uninterrupted service when they most needed our support. Our annual client satisfaction scores increased further during the pandemic, achieving 94% for client happiness and 92% for business growth, which we’re very proud of. Our team happiness remained very high throughout as we’ve supported each other and stepped outside our comfort zones to learn new skills.
“Looking to the future, we’re excited about working with even more businesses and organisations, supporting them on their journeys. We’re investing in a new IT portal, enabling seamless communication and collaboration with us whether you’re working from home or anywhere else in the world! Securely accessing real-time accounting and bookkeeping information we can instantly report and proactively advise enabling business owners and decision makers to confidently take swift action.”
With pandemic restrictions set to ease further and with more businesses fully re-opening as a result, Hallidays argues that its more important than ever for business owners to take confident action to drive their business forward.
As a provider of business advisory services, the accountancy firm explains how working with a business advisor can really support and inspire ambitious business owners to get from where they are now, to where they want to be:
“Working with a business advisor will help you prepare your business for growth. They’ll open your mind to new possibilities and challenge you to put aspirational personal and business goals in place. They’ll work with you to develop your growth strategy, access the right funding and set and achieve targets. They’ll also be with you every step of the way providing advice and support to help you stay on track.”
