Stockport based Hallidays have congratulated three of their clients who have recently been recognised for their innovation.
CHOC Chick celebrated a double award win for their scrumptious, nutritious raw cacao products at the 2018 FreeFrom Food Awards , an industry-own award celebrating innovation and quality in products suitable for people with food allergies and intolerances.
CHOC Chick scooped both a Gold Award in the ‘Superfoods and Sports Supplements’ category for their innovative ‘Cacao Nibbles with Yacon’ and a Silver Award for their ‘Super Blend of Organic Raw Cacao Powder with Turmeric and Ginger’.
Founder of CHOC Chick, Galia Orme’s lifelong passion for chocolate stems from her childhood in South America, with some of her earliest memories being the pleasure of eating and making chocolate with her mother. After discovering raw chocolate, she started making large quantities of chocolates for family, friends and school fairs and ended up travelling to Ecuador to discover more and source the finest cacao.
Keen to spread the word about the nutritional properties and wellbeing benefits of cacao, Galia developed a range of products and easy-to-use raw chocolate making kits using fine quality cacao sourced directly from cooperatives in South America.
With Hallidays’ business support, the company has received the financial support and sound business advice to enable them to grow their business. Their delicious and healthy products are available from retailers and stockists throughout the UK and worldwide in over 600 stores (John Lewis Food Halls, Whole Foods Market, Ocado, Holland & Barrett, Asda and Infinity Foods, to name just a few).

Hallidays client ‘Unlimited Potential’ and ‘The New and Reclaimed Flooring Company’, have been recognised in Innovation 100 Greater Manchester. Created by the Business Growth Hub and BQ, Innovation 100 Greater Manchester is designed to shine the spotlight on some of Greater Manchester’s most forward thinking small and medium sized businesses and cumulates in the Venturefest event held in Manchester on 13th September.
Stockport-based designers and manufacturers, The New and Reclaimed Flooring Company have clients including London Science Museum, O2, Mal Maison and Cath Kidston. No strangers to recognition, in 2015, they were honoured with the Green Hero Award created by Kevin McCloud and Grand Designs to distinguish creative innovation through sustainable practices. They were also finalists for the London Build Expo 2015 Supplier of the Year Award and finalists for The Family Business Of The Year award at the prestigious North West Business Of The Year Awards. 2017 was an exciting year of growth and expansion in Sweden and California and this year further growth is underway in Central London, Western Europe and Latin America.
A social enterprise based in Salford, Unlimited Potential specialises in social innovation for happiness. Creating new solutions, they tackle some of the most difficult social and economic challenges with citizens and communities. In March 2018, they won an innovation award from the Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation for their project ‘Time to Connect’ tackling ageing well and loneliness. They were also commended as runners up for their project ‘Dadly Does It’, finding new ways to improve the well-being of disadvantaged fathers and understanding whether this can improve the well-being of their children.
