A comprehensive review and a realignment of the business plan has resulted in a re-brand for north west based recruitment company, Grassroots.
Originally seeded in Stockport and where the head office remains, the last decade has seen Grassroots transition from a regionally-focused commercial recruitment agency to a national resource partner.
Since specialising in sales and technical markets, the pace of growth and future aspirations necessitated a re-brand – to both reposition the company internally and to convey the right messaging tailored to Grassroots’ specific market sectors.
Operations director Caroline Patten explains:
“A great deal of what was applicable to businesses ten years ago, whatever the sector, will be unfit for practice today.
“Over the past ten years Grassroots has evolved to meet current trends and demands.
“The time was right to undertake a comprehensive review: to assess where we have come from, where we are now and, most importantly, to prepare the business for future growth and prosperity.
“Taking an in-depth look has been a great exercise for us, both internally and externally. It helped us to identify who we are as an organisation, focused the team and, moving forward, has helped us to future-proof the business.
“Our revised business plan reflects our ambitions and highlights our areas of expertise; having shared this with our external marketing consultants, we are delighted with our new branding, style and tone of voice which is now perfectly aligned to our values and our future aspirations.”
Grassroots new branding, marketing collateral and website has been designed and developed by Stockport based creative agency Instilled.
Creative Director Inness Mattison from Instilled commented:
“The preparation that Caroline and the Grassroots team undertook before we met made our job a lot easier. They had a clear vision of where the business needed to go and we were able to interpret their ambitions which are reflected in the new tone, look and feel.
“We have retained an element of the brand heritage, a reference to their roots, but have overall created a brand that is approachable, professional and much more in-touch with the way we do business today.”
