The Greater Manchester Urgent Primary Care Alliance (GMUPCA), which includes Stockport healthcare provider, Mastercall, has expanded to now cover all 10 boroughs in the city-region.
The GMUPCA has welcomed Wigan GP Alliance as an associate member and has shown huge impact to patient care and outcomes since its formation in 2019.
Comprising Bardoc, gtd healthcare, Mastercall, and Salford Primary Care Together, GMUPCA eagerly anticipates collaborating with Wigan GP Alliance to further advance the integration of urgent primary care services throughout Greater Manchester.
In addition to core ‘out of hours’ services, the GMUPCA delivers the Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) for all 10 localities across Greater Manchester demonstrating excellent performance outcomes on reducing ambulance conveyances/attendance at A&E depts., and admissions to hospital.
By fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing, GMUPCA aim to deliver the highest standard of care. With the evolution of the Integrated Care System, there is a prime opportunity to elevate urgent primary care provision in Manchester. Effective partnerships that leverage existing services and promote integration will undoubtedly bolster the influence and impact of urgent primary care providers within the new Integrated Care System.
