MAN Diesel & Turbo’s UK Headquarters in Hazel Grove, Stockport were visited by two Members of Parliament on Thursday, 1 May 2014 as part of a tour of the local Borough.
The Company, a member of the Volkswagen Group, were visited by the Right Honourable Danny Alexander MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, and Mark Hunter, MP for Cheadle, Stockport.
During the stay, the gentlemen were given a presentation on the Company and had the opportunity to speak to senior managers and apprentices. Discussions involved Investing in Young People, Stockport Technical School and future large opportunities with UK customers. The visitors were then given a tour of the Company’s prestigious MAN PrimeServ Training Academy.

Accompanied on the tour by Wayne Jones, Senior Vice President, Head of Business Unit After Sales, MAN PrimeServ, and Andrew Bellamy, Managing Director, MAN Diesel & Turbo UK Ltd, the visitors were shown a range of engines, including the VP185, currently being built as part of a multi-million pound contract for the Taiwanese Navy.
